About within/without: holism

within/without: holism is about healing and being made whole. A companionship for tending to your whole self, mind, body, emotions and spirit, alongside the One sometimes called God, Spirit, the Divine, the Universe, or whatever name fits for you.

At its heart, this is a contemplative practice. A slow, attentive way of listening to your own life, with another person walking alongside you and the Divine in the middle of it. Some traditions call this spiritual direction. The word direction can mislead. The true direction is provided by the Mystery, not the practitioner. The practitioner is a companion.

Together we pay attention, without judgement, to where the Spirit is already moving in your life. We listen for the signposts. We hold space for grief, joy, doubt and mystery in equal measure. People arrive here at every kind of crossroad: a life transition, a hard question, a deepening, a returning, or simply a sense that there is more to your spiritual life than you have been able to reach on your own.

This is not therapy. It is not counselling. It is not mentorship. It is a sacred space for the questions that sit deeper than those.

The themes that move through this work are openness, belonging, joy, mystery, community and nourishment. What you walk away with is yours alone, but most often it looks like clarity, awareness, peace, a steadier trust in yourself, the feeling of being heard and held, and a sense of a guiding hand on the direction of your life.

The values that shape every session are justice, peace, integrity, community and equity. Your path is yours. The companion's role is to walk it with you.
